BS Mechanical engineering degree from a four-year college or university
5+ years of related experience
Knowledge of single and multilayer laminated bus bars, injection molded plastics design, Electro-Mechanical subassembly/shelf design, and/or power connector design.
Knowledge of dimensional tolerance stacks, DFMEA, GD&T, and other typical automotive forms.
Experience using 3D SolidWorks and Sheet Metal a must.
Possess drafting ability to develop working drawings and dimensional GD&T controls.
Self-learning, task oriented, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge and proficiency with components in electrical transfer
Proven ability to overcome obstacles and get results
Ability to travel up to 20%

The base pay hiring rate for this position is $95,000 to $115,000 annually.

Position Responsibilities:
Develop and review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specifications
Participate in activities concerning product development, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems
Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design products for relevant industries (such as Power Distribution, Automotive, Medical Device, Sensor, Military, Aerospace)
Design and implement mechanical products using various CAD and CAE tools
Evaluate and implement design changes, ECN, specifications, and drawing releases
Is guided by and provide support to more experienced engineers
Conducts product testing and creates models and prototypes
May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products
Participate in product team environments related to mechanical & electrical product design
Interact with sales personnel and travel to customers and vendors as required
Other related duties as assigned
