About the role
The Behavioral Health Intake Associate is someone who is detail-oriented and with a passion for delivering exceptional service and operational accuracy. Qualifications you'll bring: High school diploma or equivalent required 1-2 years of clerical experience in a fast-paced, professional office environment 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting with direct interaction with healthcare providers 1-2 years of customer service experience Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word Intermediate computer proficiency, including data entry and keyboarding skills Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and efficiency Strong ability to work independently while managing and prioritizing multiple responsibilities Highly organized with excellent time management skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion, including knowledge of HIPAA regulations Ability to think logically and contribute to process improvements and efficiency Your key responsibilities: Handle service requests and correspondence from providers, facilities, members, or their representatives via phone, fax, e-mail, and postal mail. Review and interpret authorization requirements based on MVP contracts, riders, resources, policies, and procedures Create and assign cases for service requests requiring notification or authorization Make outgoing faxes, e-mails, and/or phone calls to providers with determinations or requests for additional information Strictly maintain the confidentiality of our members and provider information.
