Position Overview The Protection Analysis Officer is responsible for the production of high‑quality, timely, and rigorous protection analysis to inform programmatic decision‑making, coordination, and advocacy priorities of the IRC Ukraine Country Office. Based in Kyiv for a minimum of 70% of the time, the position plays a central role in strengthening evidence‑based understanding of protection risks, trends, and vulnerabilities affecting conflict‑affected populations. Under the supervision of the Senior Protection Analysis Manager, the Protection Analysis Officer leads qualitative and mixed‑methods analysis, including thematic coding and synthesis of protection data gathered through key informant interviews, partner inputs, and secondary sources. The role focuses on transforming complex and diverse data into clear analytical products such as quarterly protection analysis reports, briefs, and area‑based analysis outputs. In addition, in close collaboration with the MEAL Senior Officer, the Protection Analysis Officer will jointly maintain the protection monitoring dashboard and ensure the visualisation of quantitative data in Power BI remains accurate, up‑to‑date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders. The position works in close collaboration with the Protection Officer (Localisation) within a shared analytical workstream, contributing to joint analysis initiatives, including area analysis workshops, and supporting engagement with protection coordination structures and partners. Through these functions, the Protection Analysis Officer contributes to improving the quality, consistency, and relevance of protection analysis, ensuring it effectively informs program design, strategic planning, and advocacy efforts.
