DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as the main point of contact for prospective, incoming, and current Honors College and undergraduate research inquiries. Manages the Honors College and Undergraduate Research email inboxes by responding to inquiry emails and phone calls. Maintains regular walk-in hours for drop-in meetings with current and prospective students. Processes incoming student applications. Provides advising and guidance for students engaged in Honors and/or undergraduate research. Collaborates with academic advisors to ensure completion of curricular requirements toward a certificate or distinction in undergraduate research. Manages the university's platform for tracking student inquiries and completion of curricular and co-curricular Honors and research badging opportunities, such as Suitable. Track completion of Honors by Contract courses to coordinate Honors course designation with Registrar's Office. Assists in planning of educational and social engagement events for prospective and current students. Provides support for the undergraduate research initiative by assisting with event planning and execution such as Demo Days, symposia, writing workshops, informational sessions, faculty and student mixers, etc. Serves as the main point of contact and hiring liaison for the
