The GA Payroll Support Analyst opportunity is an individual contributor role that contributes to the overall success of John Hancock Retirement by managing the onboarding of the payroll process with payroll vendors and payroll interfaces to John Hancock's Signature platform, with a focus on supporting the finalization and transition of payrolls to the online payroll tool.
Position Responsibilities:
Act as the key point of contact for internal partners on payroll questions and issues while managing sensitive client information.
Collaborate with external partners (Payroll Vendors, Payroll Aggregators, TPAs, etc.) to facilitate setup, functionality, and ongoing monitoring of Payroll 180/360, including new plans, plan changes, and test files.
Proactively monitor incoming files, follow up on missing/incomplete data, and support proactive census validation and understanding of file frequency expectations.
Partner with stakeholders to build payroll knowledge, ensure smooth handoffs, and clearly explain data and technical issues to various audiences.
Track and report on implementations and challenges, drive solutions to address root causes, provide backup to teammates, and offer clear communication and direction to internal and external contacts.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of industry experience and post-secondary education preferred.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills; able to prioritize work requests and multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to think and work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Thorough understanding of Transfer Agent policies and procedures (confidentiality, timeliness, accuracy) and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
