HBO degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
Strong command of English (spoken and written); German and Dutch language skills are a plus.
Experience in a quality role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Willingness to travel to customer sites
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
Experience with ISO 9001 is preferred (ISO 13485 and/or ISO 15378 are a plus)
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is beneficial
Experience with customer audits and complaint handling is preferred
Knowledge of plastic molding processes and/or technical assembly operations is preferred
VCA-VOL certification or willingness to obtain
Experience working in an international, matrix organization is preferred
Continuous improvement mindset aligned with operational excellence
Pragmatic, hands-on, and solution-oriented
Clear and professional communicator, internally and externally
Able to work independently while collaborating across functions
Comfortable operating at the interface between customer, quality, and operations.

Summary of the role
As a Quality Engineer at Nordson EFD, you play a key role in driving product quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across our operations. The position blends hands-on, customer-facing (technical) quality support with the systematic optimization of internal processes. While much of the role is externally focused, a significant portion is dedicated to strengthening internal quality systems and operational performance. The guiding principle is simple and consistent: structured improvement, every day.
Role and Responsibilities
Customer Quality & Field Support
Act as the quality interface for customers in EMEA
Support customer audits, quality reviews, complaints, and corrective actions
Lead structured root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone)
Translate customer quality requirements into clear internal actions and standards
Represent Nordson EFD professionally during on-site customer visits
Internal Quality & Operational Improvement
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within Operations and Quality
Analyze production, assembly, and logistics processes to identify risks and improvement opportunities
Support and maintain the Quality Management System (ISO-based)
Contribute to internal audits, KPI monitoring, and data-driven improvement initiatives
Work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams
