Prepares stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculates doses, and administers doses, under direction of Physician.
Calibrates equipment.
Performs diagnostic studies on patients as prescribed by Physician, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ.
Measures radioactivity, using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors.
Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under direction of Physician. Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials.
Performs venipuncture for injections.
Provides services in a prompt manner at times convenient for the customers. Understands and practices patient confidentiality.
Provides a positive image to customers by creating a friendly atmosphere and placing a high priority on meeting customer needs in a courteous manner.
Demonstrates proper use of equipment, time, and supplies in efforts to control costs.

Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB Required or
Nuclear Medicine Technology - ARRT Required or
Radiography - ARRT Must complete cross training within 6 months of hire. Required
Licensed Radiology Technologist (LRT) - KSBHA Valid Kansas License or eligible must be obtained. Required
Basic Life Support - BLS Required within 90 days of hire.
