5-8+ years' experience in product management or closely related roles within financial services or wealth technology
Strong understanding of Australian financial advice frameworks
Experience translating regulatory and advice requirements into product logic and structured workflows
Familiarity with advice regulatory environment
Experience working in agile product delivery environments
Paraplanning or advice experience beneficial, applied in a product context

As a Product Manager, you are responsible for shaping and delivering advice capabilities that drive meaningful customer and business outcomes. You will own the translation of complex financial advice requirements into scalable product solutions-balancing customer value, regulatory compliance, and technical feasibility. This role focuses on building high-quality advice experiences across digital and adviser-led journeys, ensuring that advice logic, workflows, and outputs are robust, explainable, and aligned to evolving regulatory expectations.
Accountabilities and deliverables
Help to shape the advice capability product space within Xplan, defining how advice is constructed, delivered, and experienced
Completing the discovery to identify, frame, and validate high-value advice-related problems and opportunities
Translate financial advice requirements into structured product artefacts in the Product requirements document
Partner with engineering and design to ensure accurate implementation of advice rules and workflows
Identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and product risks
Ensuring remediation and continuous improvement
Ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks
Align product delivery to OKRs and measurable outcomes, focusing on value creation rather than feature delivery
Support go-to-market readiness and monitor post-launch performance to inform iteration
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to achieve the common goals
