JOB SUMMARY: The Texas Rangers are seeking an HVAC Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems throughout the facility. The role ensures optimal environmental conditions, system reliability, and energy efficiency within a fast-paced, high-profile venue environment. The HVAC Technician will also support preventive maintenance programs, respond promptly to system issues, and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors as needed to maintain safe and effective facility operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Start up, monitor, and verify proper operation of all HVAC systems at the beginning of each shift.
Operate central control room.
Maintain and perform preventive maintenance on controls and related equipment; adjust and calibrate equipment when necessary.
Replace filters throughout the facility on a scheduled and as-needed basis.
Respond to complaints regarding HVAC equipment and adjust or repair where necessary.
Respond to complaints about individual room temperatures and adjust as needed.
Perform all repairs on pumps, compressors, and centrifugal equipment.
Perform tests on water systems tied in with HVAC.
Perform minor electrical and pipefitting repairs to HVAC systems.
All other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
May be required to return to work when major problems with HVAC equipment are encountered on off-shifts or weekends. Responsible for planning and organizing preventative maintenance for all HVAC and pollution control equipment.
Must also know how to repair equipment such as centrifugal chillers, air cooled chillers, large AHU's, VAV boxes, fan coils , Split systems, nugget ice machines, walk in coolers and freezers, pollution control units and Crack data room equipment.
Must also contact and organize with 3rd party vendors for repairs when necessary. You must also order and maintain a revolving in-house inventory of filters and repair materials for all equipment.
Ability to work in noisy and hot environments and to work with water.
