Pay Range: Hiring/Starting pay range is $18.00 - $22.00/hourly, based on experience.

Position Purpose:
The Fleet Custodian is responsible for ensuring that all transit vehicles are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained in a presentable condition for daily service. This includes both interior and exterior cleaning role plays a crucial part in maintaining a positive passenger experience and upholding the company's standards for cleanliness and safety.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all-inclusive.
Cleans interiors of buses (e.g., floors, walls, mirrors, ceilings, carpet and upholstery) both by hand and with pressurized and power equipment.
Sanitize high-touch areas such as handrails, seats, windows, and driver compartments.
Remove trash and debris from vehicles and properly dispose of waste.
Wash and detail vehicle exteriors, including pressure washing, scrubbing, and waxing when required.
Clean and maintain restocking of on-board supplies such as hand sanitizers and paper towels.
Report any vehicle damage, mechanical issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
Documents all actions taken in a professional manner in written and /or electronic format. Completes all necessary forms (e.g., accident, incident, and spill reports, core and warranty information and etc.).
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are stored properly and in working order.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working around large vehicles.
Controls, contains, and cleans up hazardous materials.
Continuously improves professional knowledge, skills, and abilities by participating in training sessions and relevant educational opportunities.
Documents all actions taken in a professional manner in written and /or electronic format. Completes all necessary forms (e.g., accident, incident, and spill reports, core and warranty information and etc.).
Attends and actively participates in routine safety meetings and training sessions.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices for routine bus and vehicle washing and cleaning procedures.
Consistently aligns with and actively works towards achieving personal, departmental, and organizational goals and performance standards, as detailed in specific departmental documentation.
Proficient in using computer software, with the ability to perform accurate data entry into maintenance management systems.
Demonstrates excellent teamwork, adhering to the department's code of conduct and collaborating effectively with colleagues.
Skilled in planning and organizing work activities to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Demonstrated ability to safely operate buses, light and medium-duty trucks, and other support vehicles.
Capable of working independently while adhering to established cleaning schedules.
Comfortable and experienced in working with cleaning chemicals and maintaining cleaning equipment.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
Valid Colorado Driver's License required.
