Programs, supports, and troubleshoots local control logic, HMI displays and supporting technology (networks, remote communications/protocols and metering) to meet operational, economic, and regulatory objectives. This includes systems such as Distributed Control Systems (DCS), SCADA platforms, and HMI applications (e.g., DeltaV, Ignition, GeoSCADA, Wonderware, or equivalent).
Maintains C&E and controls narrative documentation through the MOC process; utilizes this documentation to support and sign-off FAT and SAT tests. Documentation may include control narratives, cause‑and‑effect matrices, and control logic descriptions for DCS, SCADA, and RTU‑based systems.
Troubleshoots more advanced abnormal conditions with other operational and engineering teams and assists in their resolution. May include issues related to control logic execution, HMI behavior, data quality, communications to remote assets, or RTU integration.
Understands all control system drawings and P&IDs and utilizes them to provide more advanced troubleshooting of system processes.
Works as a team member for both maintenance and capital Controls projects; occasionally serves as a team leader; seeks out mentor(s) for technical and career guidance; provides assistance to less experienced employees.
Possesses familiarity with MPLX and industry standards/guidelines and applies them by copying examples.
Understands core concepts and participates in safety-related processes and programs; learns supplemental concepts like layers of protection analysis (LOPA), area classification, safety bypass/out of service (OOS).

Requirements
Associate's degree or vocational qualifications in related field required.
Eleven (11) years of related experience required.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
