Run point on supplier quality performance in a manufacturing environment by collecting data, deducing trends, and escalating findings to internal and external teams.
Owning the full lifecycle of supplier nonconformances, including root cause investigations, corrective action verification, special adoptions, and escape containment and disposition.
Engage with other members of technical sourcing unit to assess prospective supply chain partners, coordinate supplier quality audits, and maintain supplier scorecards.
Identifying systemic supplier quality risks and championing continuous improvement initiatives across the supply base.
Establish incoming quality control (IQC) procedures for direct materials, including defining inspection criteria, sampling plans, and acceptance standards to ensure only conforming materials enter production.
Lead cross-functional discussions with external partners, Supplier Industrialization Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, Quality Control, and Equipment Engineering to monitor, assess, and resolve quality issues related to direct materials.
Requirements
Hands-on experience implementing PPAP and qualifying suppliers in a mass production environment.
Strong project management and communication skills to align internal and external stakeholders.
Deep familiarity with QMS frameworks (ISO9001, AS9100, or IATF16949) and quality tools such as 8D, SPC, and FMEA.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally on average 20% of the time, with some trips being on short notice.
Experience qualifying suppliers through structured frameworks such as APQP.
Track-record of leading supplier quality audits, coaching suppliers on industry practices, and executing supplier quality agreements.
Previous experience with battery materials or chemical processing is strongly preferred.

Compensations Range:
The expected base salary range for this position is between
$106,000.00 - $159,000.00 The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.
