Communicate with customers, internal departments, and team to identify and resolve problems or issues with personnel, customer, account, etc. throughout the day and, where required, when on call
Facilitate and determine selection, hiring, employee trainings and development including monitoring ongoing performance progress to promote, engage, and retain employees by optimizing job performance through evaluations, individual development plans, and employee recognition programs
May assist warehouse workers with duties including but not limited to operating loading/unloading vehicles, preparing goods and materials, and processing receipts, inventory, etc.
Monitor and communicate operational safety standards, warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements; takes proactive steps to create a positive safety culture at their accounts by enforcing company policies, ensuring compliance, and company safety requirements are being met
Oversee assigned operations and serves as the first point of contact with their assigned customers in order to provide exceptional service and trouble free account safety, efficiency and profitable operation
Provide input in the creation of an annual budget, audit current year performance of actual versus budgeted expenses and provide feedback to the Controller regarding required changes to the budget as a result of operational changes
Responsible for the management of employee payroll, and/or creation of invoices and ensuring customer billing is accurate and timely
Requirements
Minimum Qualification:
High School Diploma with 3-5 years of Transportation/Logistics experience and/or 3-5 years of supervisory experience, &/or military equivalent
Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed.
Must be willing to travel to account, customer, & company event locations when applicable.
Preferred Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance, or related fields with 1 year of relevant professional experience or 2-4 years of experience with J.B. Hunt or in the Transportation/Logistics industry with 3-5 years of supervisory experience
