About the role
Works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager or Nursing Supervisor, and ultimately responsible to the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Quality Care Management. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) monitors the resident, participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. - Assigns duties to non-professional staff such as CNAs according to education, training, policy and resident need in order to assure quality resident care is delivered. Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed.
Requirements
- LPN Diploma from an accredited program required ONLY for new grads within 90 days of program completion
- Certification: CPR/BLS (within 30 days of hire) required. FA (within 30 days of hire)
- LPN license in the state of VA or compact required or board eligible This primary source verification required only for new graduates without their license within 90 days of graduation
