The Machine Operator is responsible for efficient operation and production of machines and equipment. This position will ensure machines and equipment are operating at optimum performance levels ensuring exceptional quality of the product.
Responsibilities
Effectively troubleshoot and diagnose equipment.
Perform minor preventive maintenance to the machines.
Conduct minor repairs and replacement of parts on machines as required.
Adjust molding machines and perform calibration checks ensuring accuracy and making sure machines run at optimum performance levels.
Ensuring machine is functioning safely in accordance with GMP and housekeeping standards.
Verify the quality of the product through inspections and testing.
Monitor the rejected product and perform a waste count.
Report operational deficiencies to management.
Ensure the completion and accuracy of all required reports relating to production and machine performance.
Train, monitor and supervise your assigned team, ensuring employees are performing their job duties.
Be a point of contact and communicate effectively regarding employee issues when required.
Communicate with drivers and customers on night shift.
Ensure the plant adheres to safety and environmental rules.
Maintain daily housekeeping ensuring working area is kept safe and clear of excess debris.
Always adhere to company safety policies
Ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
Perform any additional assigned duties as needed to support the plant
Requirements
1+ years of experience working as an extrusion blow molding machine operator
Aptitude for problem solving and mechanics
Proficiency with hand tools
Able to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
An ability to remain focused and efficient while working within tight deadlines
An ability to resolve issues in high pressure situations
Excellent communication and organization skills and an ability to resolve conflicts and problems
