Position Summary
Several Hourly Land Rehabilitation and Maintenance (LRAM) Vegetation Work Crew (Technical/Support I) positions are available at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii with Colorado State University ( CSU ) and the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands ( CEMML ).
The position conducts soil stabilization and vegetation management activities in support of the LRAM component of the Army's Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) Program at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, by utilizing light equipment and hand tools such as weed whackers, shovels, root rakes, pick axes, brush axes, and chainsaws. The operation of mowers, straw blowers, tractors, and skid steers may also be required. The work location is located on the US Army Garrison Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii.

Work Unit Description
Schofield Barracks was established in 1908 to provide mobile defense of Pearl Harbor and the entire island. Located 20 miles from Honolulu on the plateau or "central valley" of Oahu between the two volcanic mountains that comprise the island, the nearly 18,000-acre installation is home to the U.S. Army Garrison, Hawaii.

Conditions of Employment
The positions cannot exceed 9 months, but opportunities for permanent positions may become available during or after a temporary assignment. These positions are contingent on continued project funding for support at Scholfield Barracks. Remote work is not allowed for this position. Work location is dependent on the needs of the partner/project/role and requires staff to be fully in-person.
Supervision
Position will not supervise other employees.
