About the role
As a Field CTO - Telecommunications , you will be the architect of NewRocket's growth strategy in the telco sector - shaping how we go to market, what we offer, and how we win. Responsibilities
- Shape the Telco Go-to-Market
- Define NewRocket's offering strategy for the telecommunications industry, identifying the highest-value business process problems where NewRocket can deliver differentiated outcomes.
- Partner with Marketing to develop industry-specific messaging, positioning, and content - including thought leadership, solution briefs, campaign assets, and event presence - that generates awareness and top-of-funnel pipeline.
- Represent NewRocket's telco point of view externally through speaking engagements, industry forums (TM Forum, GSMA), white papers, and executive roundtables.
- Monitor industry trends - BSS/OSS modernization, 5G monetization, AI-driven network operations, agentic AI, cloud-native transformation - and translate them into timely, relevant go-to-market narratives.
- Architect AI Industry Solutions
- Design and architect AI-powered solutions purpose-built for the telecommunications industry - including agentic AI workflows, predictive operations, intelligent process automation, and AI-assisted customer and network management.
- Define how AI capabilities map to specific telco business processes - for example, AI-driven fault prediction and resolution in network operations, intelligent order fallout management in service fulfillment, dynamic resource reassignment in field operations.
- Develop AI solutions that are aligned with ServiceNow's broad capability areas, that integrate with existing BSS/OSS and network environments, clearly defining data inputs, model requirements, workflow orchestration, and business outcome metrics.
- Stay current on the evolving AI and agentic landscape - including large language models, AI agents, and multi-model orchestration - and translate these into credible, practical applications for telco clients.
- Work with NewRocket's internal AI capabilities (including the Intelligent Agent Crew and NewRocket Intelligence) to apply and extend proprietary assets in telco-specific contexts.
- Define Targeted Data Offerings
- Identify and design data offerings specific to the telecommunications industry - addressing the data challenges, gaps, and opportunities that sit behind every major telco transformation initiative.
- Define telco-specific data products and frameworks across key domains:
- Network data: topology, performance KPIs/KQIs, CDRs/xDRs, alarm and event streams, and network inventory datasets.
- Customer & product data: subscriber profiles, product catalog structures, service configurations, and entitlement data.
- Operational data: trouble ticket histories, SLA breach records, workforce management data, and field service records.
- Architect data integration and management frameworks - including data strategies and data quality approaches - that enable AI, analytics, and operational intelligence use cases.
- Partner with clients to define data strategies that turn underutilized telco data assets into measurable business value.
- Build Industry-Specific Offerings
- Design and develop telco-specific offerings tied to core telecommunications business processes, including order management, service fulfillment, network assurance, trouble-to-resolve, revenue assurance, and fraud management - as well as AI-powered and data-driven extensions of these processes.
- Define offering frameworks that span business process design, solution architecture, AI integration, data strategy, platform configuration, and delivery - ensuring each offering is grounded in operational reality and executable by delivery teams.
- Build reusable solution assets - reference architectures, process blueprints, industry data models, and configuration accelerators - that give NewRocket a repeatable, scalable edge across the telco market.
- Collaborate with delivery, product, and engineering teams to validate offering feasibility and ensure they can be brought to market with confidence.
