Assist with patient assessments, treatment planning, and goal achievement. Provide therapy services, monitor progress, and document outcomes. Collaborate with patients and care teams to deliver age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care. Maintain a safe, organized therapy environment and follow safety protocols. Qualifications - What We're Looking For ๐ŸŽ“ Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program โœ… Current State Licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligibility required โค๏ธ BLS/CPR Certification required ๐Ÿฅ While 1 year of direct patient care experience in a rehabilitation hospital is preferred; new grads are encouraged to apply. Physical requirements - What you need to know A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time. Both gross and precise motor functions. Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs. Possible exposure to bodily fluids. Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care. Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment. Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
