In this role, you will support the Group Benefits Underwriting team on all business insights and analytics needs. This is a visible role where you will have the opportunity to make an impact and work directly with leadership. You will report to the Head of Finance for Underwriting & Operations, Group Benefits. You will Be responsible for identifying and reporting Underwriting and Inforce book insights including but not limited to persistency, rate, pricing, and profitability. Have demonstrated a record of building scalable reporting packages with "metrics that matter." Be a storyteller with extensive experience developing and presenting executive level insights, identifying emerging trends, understanding of most valued metrics, and communicating operational and financial impacts. Have advanced reporting, technical, and analytical capabilities with emphasis on front end story telling (PowerPoint, Tableau, Excel). Be able to juggle priorities while maintaining focus and delivering high quality products on time (strong PM skillset). Have experience partnering cross functionally to achieve shared business objectives. Be collaborative and demonstrate strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency. You have 8+ years of progressive Underwriting analytics experience within Group Insurance a plus Bachelor's degree in finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Demonstrated business acumen, deep understanding of Underwriting value chain. Advanced PowerPoint and Tableau skills. Proven ability to complete high quality work efficiently and increase autonomy over time. Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills. A trusted advisor who will lead conversations with leadership. Organizational savvy with ability to influence. Ability to synthesize large data sets into actionable insights and can communicate compelling recommendations to leaders. Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, who is comfortable presenting. Location/Travel Hybrid: 3 days in a Guardian office located in Hudson Yards, NYC; Boston, MA; Holmdel NJ or Bethlehem, PA. Salary Range: $103,450.00 - $169,960.00 The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
