Drive competitive advantage and cost reductions through effective procurement of goods, works, and services
Lead tendering activity, negotiate contracts, and resolve commercial issues
Collaborate with the wider business to ensure timely availability of essential goods and services
Develop contracting strategies and negotiate one‑off contracts or framework agreements aligned to business needs
Manage pre and post-contract commercial activities to ensure best value and compliance with Iberdrola Group Procurement processes
Ensure that ScottishPower's requirements are sourced from suitable, ethical, and sustainable suppliers, using contractual arrangements that allocate risk appropriately
Provide advice on sourcing and purchasing to stakeholders, promoting consistent practices across the supply chain
Work with colleagues to ensure that the commercial risks associated within the procurement process are identified and understood and reflected in the appropriate technical and commercial documentation
Responsible for the commercial and contractual aspects of individual contracts, with support from subject experts where required, ensuring alignment with the Business Plan and associated timescales
Manage an annual portfolio of multiple contracts and high‑value accounts
Requirements
Good understanding of best practice procurement principles, practices and processes including both tactical and strategic procurement principles
Experience of the full tendering process
Team player, ideally with some experience of working in a multi-functional project team
Ability to mitigate risks whilst tapping into your knowledge of contract law.
G ood communicator both written and verbal, with strong numeracy skills
Well versed with different technologies, including but not limited to MS Excel
Minimum Criteria
Educated to degree level in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
Experience within a related industry (e.g., construction, energy, engineering)
Good understanding of Procurement best practices
Experience in end-to-end tender process
Confident using MS Excel for tender analysis
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage a high-volume workload effectively in a fastpaced environment
