Review available records and evaluate inmate mental health status.
Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and functional levels.
Provide counseling and therapeutic interventions to assigned caseloads.
Conduct regular rounds in segregation and other restricted housing units to assess adjustment and mental health needs.
Deliver crisis intervention services, mental health assessments, and confrontation avoidance counseling.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, social workers, and other clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
Consult with psychiatry, nursing, medical, educational, chaplaincy, security, and other departments regarding behavioral concerns and changes in mental health conditions.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment records.
Ensure compliance with facility policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
Education
Doctoral Degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university.
Requirements
Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience.
At least one (1) year of experience in a comparable psychologist role.
Licensure & Certifications
Current, unrestricted license to practice Psychology in the state where services are provided.
Must be at least Board Eligible to qualify for privileges.
Valid driver's license.
Current BLS - AHA certification
