MAIN JOB PURPOSE The Innovation Engineer will function as support for the change management role on projects, ensuring all inputs are available and SC is geared up for deployment including new innovations, VIP, product transfers, rollouts, recipe changes and line extensions with an agreed time plan. S/he will also apply extensively the full range of Focused Improvement, Quality, EEM, and EPM pillar methods and tools to encounter losses identified in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost Deployment, Customer Service and Logistics and optimize the cost projects. Innovation Engineer also supports the validation of all process improvements and the establishment of revised basic conditions on the line. S/he is expected to be the SME for her/his area (Process/Packing/Category). A core deliverable is to eliminate losses and wastes and increase the stability of the line to support the transaction of traditional line teams to semi-autonomous teams. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Change Management > Lead and ensure execution of the VIP programs category Non engineering execution Overall program management Risk Assessment (TRA (Lead/Support), HACCP (Support), HAZOP (Lead/Support)) Pre-trial checklist/ Documentation Post Launch Assessment > Ensure trials is executed based on the trial plan and provide trial report for SU-led projects > Prepare and monitor project networks for SU-led projects CAPEX Management Support in drafting CAPEX for SU related projects Monitors CAPEX progress status Innovation Projects Supports early equipment management (EEM) and early product management (EPM) pillar to ensure vertical start-up of innovations and projects. Ensure trial is executed based on the trial plan Document keeping for all project-related document e.g. technical risk assessment, batch sheets Ensure alignment of BOM and batch sheets/ visual guides. Admin Compliance to company COBP, CR&R Compliance to the GMP and GHK rules of the plant KPI Safety & Quality - No incidents during monitoring and Safety/ Quality investigation or improvements as assigned by her/his LM Waste Reduction projects assigned by her/his LM Service - Output, Batches per Shift, Batch Cycle Time, SPM, OEE , Capacity improvement projects as assigned by his/her LM Savings projects as assigned by her/his LM OTIF innovations Focused Improvement Participates in Focused Improvement activities Executes agreed Focused Improvement actions Raises improvement activities (OFI) and OPL Validates results and effectiveness of Focused Improvement activities via real time observations Digital Able to operate simple gadgets such as smart phone and iPad Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel analysis and PowerPoint in creating trial reports Learn and adapt to digital tools as required by the Company. Manning Participates in training and other ad hoc activities as required by the Company. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering Engineering degree educated or equivalent experience. Digital Savvy Good knowledge of process and technology/equipment associated with an FMCG company. Knowledge and experience in Quality in innovation for manufacturing including statistical analysis and process control, supplier assessment and capabilities, risk assessment for raw materials/ packing materials/ formulations and validation of in-house and co-making operations. Able to prepare machine/ process stream specifications and machinery project management networks. Good understanding of the materials conversion processes Can help on the technical leg works and automation plans related to masterplan on top of innovations landing, equipment standards setting and the middleman between factory and R&D. Has specific skills in AUTOCAD/Solid works-which can help on the equipment re-layouts and technical design discussions.
