Serve as event manager for Division I athletic competition and special events, including Patriot League and NCAA Championships, PIAA High School Championships, and other externally contracted events in athletic facilities.
Schedule event staffing with internal and external constituents through the University scheduling platform.
Develop and manage Visiting Team Informational mailings, along with practice scheduling.
Coordinate practice scheduling for the following facilities: Sojka Pavilion, Davis Gymnasium, Gerhard Fieldhouse and all outdoor athletic facilities.
Maintain the Department's EEP and EAP's for all athletic facilities.
Manage the department's Facility Access Control requirements for keys and card access.
Assist with budgeting decisions that are consistent with the department's decision-making and planning priorities.

Requirements
Required:
Bachelor's Degree
2 years of experience in athletic events or operations
Prior experience supervising staff in the areas of operations or events planning
Ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with a wide variety of people of diverse backgrounds and at various levels of the organization, as well as provide excellent customer service
Be a self-starter who has the ability to balance multiple tasks, produce high-quality work on tight deadlines
Preferred, But Not Required
Master's Degree
3 years of experience in athletic events or operations
Experience with EMS facility scheduling/management software or similar
Physical Requirements
Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day

Job Duties:
The Director of Operations & Events serves as the department's facility scheduler and a game day events manager. This position works as part of an events and operations team under the direct supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director. The Director works closely with internal University offices, as well as the coaching staff, student-athletes, outside groups, and spectators.
