Job Responsibilities As a Mechanical Engineer II - IV, you will be responsible for providing trade specific system design: layout (utilizing both CAD and REVIT); calculations (utilizing appropriate software); and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering / internal and external) under the guidance of more senior technical staff. Must take ownership of the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the work assigned to you. Individuals in this position must demonstrate the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team. Additional responsibilities include: Participates in various trade organizations and prepare presentations. As appropriate, manages CAD/BIM and other technical staff that is assigned for particular project or task as directed by the senior engineer and/or senior designer. Assists with employee reviews as requested. Estimates construction costs and to evaluate feasibility of construction using ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) Writes engineering proposals under the direction of a senior engineer or senior designer for projects Job Requirements Successful candidates for the Mechanical Engineer role should have the ability to use REVIT for system layout and spatial coordination of the production of detailed drawings. Someone who exhibits a basic understanding of the practical application of LEED principles to our building designs would be a good fit for this dynamic role. History of working with projects such as Aviation, Federal, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission Critical. Additional requirements include: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an Accredited Institution 18 months - 7+ years of relevant experience in the MEP field LEED accreditation, preferred Latest version of AutoCAD MEP and REVIT required Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Excel and Word Possesses a basic understanding of proper system selection Exhibits a thorough understanding of applicable codes EIT required PE preferred.
