Adventist Outpatient Imaging Services seeks to hire an experienced Mammography Technologist for our Germantown, MD who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Mammography Technologist, you will: - Performs all Mammographic imaging studies. Properly identifies patients, reviews order and selects appropriate protocol in order to maximize quality and safe patient care. Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care. - Receive patients, explains procedures and answers all patient questions and concerns pertaining to the exam - To be able to perform a variety of special imaging examinations including Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) using established or dictated protocols, equipment and perform as needed. - Accurately performs documentation in all computer systems applicable to Breast Imaging (HIS, RIS, PACS, MagView) - Operates imaging and other related equipment according to the manufacturer's specifications. - Monitors and assists patients, before during and after examinations. Recognize patient discomfort or medical problem and take appropriate actions if needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment. - Maintain patient, hospital and employee confidentiality. To be able to provide quality care to patients of varying categories, i.e., Wheelchair bound, cognitive impaired. - Applies the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients we serve in the office. - To perform quality control, assist with and maintain pertinent local, state and federal records as applicable to different sections as well as inspections, i.e., ACR and MQSA - Independently perform Mammography and Dexa. - May be required to assist Radiologists to perform breast biopsies, such as Stereotactic breast biopsies, Molli, and Savi Scout placements on adult patient population. - Explain procedures to patients and educate women on the importance of mammograms for preventative breast health. Qualifications include: - High School Diploma or GED - Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography - Associates of Applied Science (AAS) preferred not required. - 1-2 years of office experience required - ARRT (RT),(M) required - Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Work Schedule: Employment Type: Full Time Hours per Week: 40 hours Typical Daily Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30AM- 4:00PM Shift Type: Day Shift Pay Range: $37.17 - $55.76 If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
