Lead a team responsible for originating, underwriting, and managing senior debt (IG/BIG), direct lending, mezzanine, and structured equity investments in the Northeastern region of the U.S.
Originate new senior debt and junior capital investment opportunities, typically ranging in size from $20-300+ million, across a broad range of industries and transaction types
Structure complex and customized transactions and communicating investment recommendations to various investment committees
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, sponsors, and intermediaries within the geographic territory
Travel to networking events, conferences and in-person marketing meetings with a strong focus on direct prospect calling
Work closely with in-house and outside counsel to structure, negotiate, and document loan agreements and process follow-on amendment requests
Manage and develop your analysts and associates reporting into the New York office
Work closely with the Managing Director to accomplish the objectives of the New York office and PGIM Private Capital overall
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required
10+ years of experience in the corporate finance industry
Strong analytic and investment skills, along with a proven track record of making and managing debt investments
Critical thinking, natural curiosity, and creative problem-solving skills
Highly motivated with a business development/originations skillset and exceptional client relationship skills
Familiarity with legal documents and underwriting
Keen organizational skills and the ability to manage many activities at once
Ability to distill and communicate complex issues clearly and concisely to a variety of decision makers and audiences
Excellent presentation and communication skills, along with the ability to influence decisions both internally and externally
Strong leadership abilities and valuable management skills, with a desire to lead, mentor, and develop team members
Ability to travel is required
