Responsibilities
- PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITY/ RESPONSIBILITIES *
- SCEM:
- Monitor and study the site energy performances of equipment.
- Implement energy conservation measures.
- Conduct energy management audits.
- Plan and organize energy consumption improvement initiatives.
- Provide unit technical support when required for troubleshooting.
- Lead site Energy Management team and hold quarterly meetings.
- Participate in regular Energy Management System regional meetings.
- Prepare energy management and audit report for management review.
- Identify energy efficient project to optimize the energy and water consumption
- Tracking of cost and carbon emission savings from implemented energy conservation measure on database.
- Manage data for Digital Energy Management System (DEnMS) according to ISO50001.
- Work closely with Energy Service Company (ESCO) consultants to come up with the Energy Efficiency Opportunities Assessment (EEOA).
- Submission of annual Energy Use Report (EUR) and Energy Efficiency Improvement Plan (EEIP) according to Energy Conservation Act to NEA.
- Lead and support sustainability & efficiency projects that have high impact on business in collaboration with different stakeholders.
- Utilities Management:
- Responsible for site utilities.
- Monitor and maintain utilities equipment with robust preventive maintenance program.
- Liase with maintenance team / external contractors to upkeep utilities availability.
- Track and report utilities performance to Technical manager.
- Prepare monthly utilities report and communicate to stakeholders.
- Plant Engineering:
- Member of maintenance pillar and responsible for plant equipment's reliability.
- Responsible for equipment compliance and preventive maintenance strategy.
- Monitor and maintain plant equipment with robust preventive maintenance program.
- Review preventive maintenance plans periodically and adjust the plan to improve equipment efficiency with optimum maintenance cost.
- Responsible for facility management
- Design, select, implement equipment that meets the required technical specifications.
- Deliver small-scale or medium-scale projects while working within an established project management plan.
- Support/coordinate technical troubleshooting with maintenance and production team.
- CapEx and Project Management:
- Develop capital improvement ideas and lead the process from defining scope, engineering design, construction and commissioning of the project.
- Lead & coordinate project development, execution, and construction with contractors.
- Track and control project schedule/cost to ensure projects are completed on time and within budgets.
- Conduct regular meetings with management team to plan and communicate spending of CapEx.
- Shall ensure projects are executed in a safe manner and proper documentation completed for the projects.
- Shall ensure installations meet all Evonik standard, appropriate design codes and laws.
- Shall ensure project handover carried out smoothly with stakeholders, ensure proper technical completion and financial closure.
- Process Safety:
- Involve in Process HazOp Assessment, Quantitative Risk Assessment, Safety Case reviews and lead implementation of technical measures.
- Change Management:
- Ensure Management of Change procedures are followed for all process/plant changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.
- Applicant must have Singapore Certified Energy Manager certification to be considered for the position. (Kindly indicate the certification in your CV or attached the certificate as a supporting document during application)
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing industry (Process/Equipment Optimization and Project Management)
- Experience with continuous improvement processes (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, 5S, etc.) will be advantageous
- Experience with ASPEN PIMS and project management
- Experience in Digital data collection/analytics tools, databases like OEE , Testify.
- Ability to apply fundamental engineering and business principles
- Possess technical knowledge to solve process engineering issues
- Skills in successfully overcoming challenges and identifying opportunities for improvements
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Working knowledge of safety, environmental, and personnel rules and regulations
- Cross regional communication/networking skills to work with counterparts
