We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Test to join our team in Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT). You will work as part of a new team developing performance measurement and analytics software for Custom Separately Managed Accounts (CSMA), which is a highly strategic initiative in our FI Wealth Management Technology area. Our development teams are highly collaborative and encourage creativity, innovation, and excellence. Your experience, skills, and input will be critical to our shared success. We seek a highly motivated and collaborative individual who can apply their experience to contribute to the design and development of this platform alongside a team of talented and enthusiastic engineers. The Expertise We're Looking For: Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline Experience analysing workflows and identifying opportunities to design and implement test automation. Deep understanding of ETL testing including source to target reconciliation and transformation logic validation to ensure data integrity Good programming skills in Java, Python or any object-oriented language with ability to build custom test automation frameworks as needed Experience working with cucumber or any BDD tool for designing clear, maintainable and business readable test scenarios Experience with Oracle and Snowflake databases including advanced SQL skills for data validations Familiarity with JIRA, Xray to ensure traceability and audit compliance. Experience working on CI/CD pipelines and implementing quality gates in deployment pipelines is a plus Familiarity with ICEDQ or similar data testing platforms is a plus Knowledge of big data technologies including Apache Spark and EMR in a distributed data environment is a plus Experience of working within an agile development environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization. Financial Services industry experience preferred but not essential The Team Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT) supports our business partners to excel in their respective markets. We strive to achieve this by meticulously crafting, building, and upkeeping the software, technological infrastructure and products within Fidelity's Institutional (FI) business units. Embedded within FIT, is the Performance Measurement & Analytics (PMA) area, which is dedicated to the creation and support of performance measurement and analytics and performance reporting software for our investment products. As a vital member of this dynamic team, your role within FIT will focus on contributing to building test automation and championing quality best practices within the team. We are currently working in a hybrid model with some flexibility for remote working. However, Fidelity is gradually transitioning towards a full-time return to the office. We believe this will help strengthen our culture and enhance both the associate and customer experience. At present, this transition is expected from 2027 onwards, with no fixed timeline in place.
