About the role

The Internal Business Development Manager (IBDM) plays a key role in growing Manulife Travel Insurance sales across an assigned territory in Quebec. Responsibilities Territory & Relationship Management Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of travel agencies and key accounts Identify and develop new business opportunities with agencies not currently supported Lead contract discussions, onboarding, and renewals in collaboration with internal partners Act as a trusted advisor to agency leaders on travel insurance sales strategies and business planning Training & Education Design and deliver engaging virtual training sessions for travel advisors, managers, and independent contractors Facilitate new‑hire training, product launches, and ongoing skill‑development sessions (one‑on‑one and group) Use a variety of modern, creative training methods to motivate and engage adult learners Ensure all learning experiences are high‑quality, relevant, and aligned with partner needs Collaboration & Performance Partner with National Client Managers to meet required training commitments per client Maintain a weekly activity and sales log to track engagement and outcomes Participate in bi‑weekly national and departmental meetings Proactively address issues or concerns, working toward positive and respectful resolution Maintain working knowledge of provincial licensing requirements across Canada Shared Responsibilities Contribute to national and regional travel insurance sales plans Support national meetings, conferences, and partner events (virtual and occasional in‑person) Participate in the planning and delivery of national and regional partner events Support strong partner experiences and positive Net Promoter Score (NPS) outcomes Required Qualifications 3-5 years of experience working with travel insurance products Strong facilitation, presentation, and training delivery experience Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Experience delivering large‑group training sessions (minimum 2 years) Knowledge of adult learning principles Ability to work independently from a home‑based office Willingness to travel occasionally, as required The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French to support clients from various provinces outside of Québec.
