Job Description: Brown University Athletics is seeking candidates for multiple seasonal Athletics Public Address Announcer positions. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 38 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-DI). The public address announcer is responsible for informing everyone in the attendance at an athletic contest any and all pertinent information that is occurring during the event. In addition, the PA announcer must do commercial "reads" throughout the game or event. The ability to annunciate clearly and accurately and project to a large crowd is necessary. In addition, knowledge of the event, and its rules, and the appropriate time to announce is extremely important.
