About the role

The Material Handler I is responsible for assisting the various laboratories, maintaining the right levels of inventory, and acting as a back-up for Facilities management support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ● Responsible for receiving and processing incoming material, securely and safely storing temperature sensitive materials, issuing material to work orders and other uses, ensuring that all necessary transactions are completed in the ERP system, performing cycle counts, analyzing inventory discrepancies and other duties as assigned ● Experience in receiving, stockroom, shipping, material handling and inventory analysis roles. Experience in rapid-growth life science environment working with temperature-sensitive materials a plus ● Must be able to create and maintain excel skills on a need basis ● Experience in implementing, executing and improving cycle count programs, 2 bin systems ● Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills ● Experience with ordering supplies ● Enter Data into ERP system - Cycle Count Module, Receiving parts, Shipping parts, RMA returns. Fill out commercial invoice ● Track Freight With various carriers on a need basis ● Use Hand Trucks, Pallet Jacks, and Scales safely and effectively ● Perform other duties as assigned Essential Qualifications: ● High School Diploma required ● Forklift Certification preferred, not required ● California Drivers License as Required ● Previous work experience in a lab preferred ● Excellent attention to detail ● Effective written and verbal communication skills ● Ability to multi-task and be flexible with tasks and schedules ● Ability to work independently in a team environment Hybrid Work Model: This section is applicable to onsite employees who are eligible for hybrid work location as specified by management and related policies. Guardant has defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. This range does not include benefits or, if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, education, job-related skills, job duties, and business need. Primary Location: Redwood City, CA Primary Location Base Pay Range: $25 - $34 Other US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $21 - $29 If the role is performed in Colorado, the pay range for this job is: $23 - $31 Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment.
