About the role
Job Summary In person teaching of our undergraduate Aerospace minor core courses of Fluid Mechanics (ME3475), Introduction to flight (ME3465), and Aeronautical Propulsion (ME3470). Instructor will be responsible for their own class notes preparation, homework sets, quizzes, midterm exams, final exam, and grading of them. The instructor/s shall coordinator the coverage materials, assessments and textbooks with Thermofluids group coordinator or their representative. Upon consideration of Thermofluids group coordinator, if logistics allow the lectures and assessments will be synced with Boston campus.
Requirements
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering with Thermo-Science concentration.
- Clear understanding of the undergraduate fluid mechanics. First seven chapters of Frank White textbook could be used as a guide.
- Experience and clear understanding of Aerospace system design, including Aerodynamics of flight and propulsion system.
- Experience with classroom teaching.
- Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Class notes preparation and class teaching time.
- Office hours.
- Homework, quiz, and exam preparation.
- Homework, quiz, and exam grading.
- Weekly/periodic coordination meeting with Boston campus representative/instructors.
