Location: Mankato, MN
Position Overview: Starting pay is $27.46 per hour and an additional 5% shift differential for night shift. Our Mankato Plant is growing! The Forklift/Service Operator has primary responsibility to load, unload, store and deliver coils, in-process supplies, materials and finished products (including up to 30,000 lb. capacity truck.) This position's schedule aligns with our continuous operating schedule and works a 4 day on 4 day off 12 hour shift schedule. Shift times are 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to Supervisor, Forklift/Service Operator responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:
Service Production/Shipping areas with materials, supplies as needed. Manipulate tractor controls and drive loaded truck to transport materials from location to location in departments as needed.
Position dock loading plate for unloading or loading materials
Unload and load materials from the truck
Store materials in the proper places
Wrap and load pallets as required
Maintain/organize warehouse
Safely and efficiently operates a variety of power and hand tools to complete jobs accurately and to specifications; such tools may include hammers, saws, drills.
Performs spot checks on equipment to ensure proper working condition; services tools and equipment as needed and return damaged items for repair or replacement.
Maintain records of production and quality, including isolating poor-quality product.
Report quality problems or defects to plant supervisor.
Follows standard safety precautions; adheres to operators' instructions when using power tools; wears recommended protective equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
