Senior Cloud Architect - AWS & Azure

Responsibilities

• Lead major opportunities and large-scale deals by developing AWS-centric architectural solutions and high-level designs that address client needs, non-functional requirements and business outcomes.
• Define cloud strategies aligned to customer goals, with a strong focus on AWS migration, application modernization, platform engineering and hybrid cloud adoption.
• Engage confidently in multi-cloud conversations, including Azure landscapes, to advise clients on workload placement, integration patterns, governance, resilience and cost optimization.
• Lead and participate in proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives for AWS, Azure and adjacent technologies, validating architecture choices against business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with account, delivery and pricing teams to create solution estimates, migration roadmaps and value-led propositions for enterprise transformation programs.
• Drive architecture governance by establishing reference patterns, security controls, identity models, networking principles and operational guardrails across cloud environments.
• Essential Skills:
• AWS Certified: AWS Solutions Architect Professional (preferred)
• Proven expertise in AWS cloud architecture, migration, modernisation and enterprise solution delivery.
• Working experience with Azure services and architecture patterns, with the ability to compare, position and integrate AWS and Azure capabilities in client discussions.
• Strong understanding of cloud and infrastructure components including compute, storage, networking, identity, security, data and application services across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of automation and DevOps/IaC tooling such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM, CI/CDpipelines and container platforms.
• Exceptional communication and consulting skills, with the ability to engage senior business and technical stakeholders and translate complex concepts into actionable decisions.
• Self-driven with a strong sense of initiative, facilitation capability and the ability to lead architecture discussions independently across distributed teams.

Overview: - As an integral member of the Cloud Sales & Solutions team, the AWS Architect collaborates with cross-functional teams to design, modernize and implement secure, scalable cloud solutions on AWS while bringing working knowledge of Azure to guide hybrid and multi-cloud conversations. The role spans architecture strategy, solution design, migration and modernization, and stakeholder engagement across complex enterprise environments. The AWS Architect works closely with AWS, Microsoft, business partners, stakeholders and application owners to shape pragmatic architectures that align to business goals, governance requirements and long-term transformation roadmaps.
