Backend Engineer

About the role

Our AI Team is looking for a mid-level Backend Engineer. In this role, you'll own meaningful backend engineering work, writing clean, scalable code, collaborating with senior engineers and stakeholders, and contributing to GenAI-adjacent initiatives that extend what we're already building. This is an IC-first, hands-on role: you'll spend the majority of your time doing the engineering work, with coordination across teams both local and international. You Will Deliver backend engineering work across Noom's product and Agentic/AI initiativesd Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, product, and healthcare teams to execute on defined scope and priorities Write and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and/or Kotlin that support Noom's community of users Help continuously improve how the engineering team operates About You If you're energized by solving real backend challenges and want to build at the intersection of health tech and AI, this role may be for you! The base salary range for this position is $129,000-$152,000. Actual compensation is determined by job-related factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This role is based in our Princeton office with a hybrid schedule (2 days per week on-site).
