The Lecturer will contribute to the teaching and research activities of the University in disciplines relevant to their field of expertise, with a particular focus on fashion marketing and communication, customer relationship management (CRM) and fashion enterprise. The Lecturer is responsible for carrying out teaching activities within undergraduate and postgraduate programs and for maintaining and advancing their scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities in these areas. The Lecturer is expected to actively promote the program by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities in fashion and related sectors. The Lecturer is expected to work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the school's teaching team, and to update colleagues and students on developments in their subject area or specialisation. Reports to: Program Manager, Fashion (Enterprise) KEY ACCOUNTIBILITIES Teach at a level appropriate to skills across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including designing and reviewing curricula and assessment; leading assessment design and moderation; conducting assessment; coordinating and evaluating courses; gathering and using student feedback and relevant data to inform continuous improvement of teaching effectiveness. Maintain and advance scholarly, research and/or professional activities in the field of fashion enterprise, including publishing and presenting outputs of scholarship and research at conferences and research forums; leading or contributing to external research funding submissions; and supervising honours and higher degree by research students where appropriate. Actively develop and maintain strong networks and partnerships with industry, professional bodies and academic communities, contributing to industry-engaged teaching, research and work‑integrated learning activities. Contribute to leadership within courses or program areas as appropriate, including course coordination responsibilities, mentoring sessional staff, and contributing to program development and review. Participate in University governance and service activities as requested and undertake administration related to the position, in line with School and University expectations. OUR REQUIREMENTS PhD or equivalent relevant doctoral qualification in a related discipline (such as fashion marketing, communication, fashion business or related field) from a recognised institution. Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs that contribute to fashion enterprise, evidenced by publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding and/or substantive industry-linked research or consultancy. Demonstrated ability to supervise, or clear potential to supervise, higher degree by research candidates in relevant disciplinary areas.
