We are looking for an individual who is a veteran of military service to serve as a Reemployment Coordinator - Consolidated Position. Consolidated Position (CP) staff serve in a dual role as a Disabled Veteran Outreach Program (DVOP) specialist and a Local Veterans' Employment Representative (LVER) and help create opportunities for individuals by promoting the hiring of veterans to Nebraska employers. We are looking for an individual who has a strong desire to help others, is detail-oriented, and enjoys daily challenges and variety. The emphasis is on assisting veterans who are economically or educationally disadvantaged, who require individualized career services to obtain and retain employment that supports their self-sufficiency, and who can reasonably be expected to benefit from improved employability because of the receipt of individualized career services. Applicants must be a veteran of military service. Perform case management of clients. Research and recommend clients for intensive and various training services including Re-Employment Services, Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC), Rapid Response, Veterans and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) which requires in-depth case management and vocational guidance. Screen applicants for eligibility for partner programs and utilize vocational guidance tools to assist applicants with core intensive services; work closely with partners in coordinating services of mutual clients. Perform job search/matching activities for employers and applicants including registration, job referrals and job development. Administer assessment instruments (tests, surveys, etc.) and other planning tools; interpret results and counsel clients. Utilize various means of technology to provide needed data. Conduct presentations and perform outreach activities through membership on various advisory boards, committees, and community organizations. Perform data entry and retrieval activities for various programs as necessary. Location: 105 E Norfolk Ave, Norfolk, NE (On-Site) Work Schedule: 8am-5pm; Monday - Friday Requirements / Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Post high school coursework or training in social/behavioral sciences, counseling, business, public administration, education, marketing, or a related field; or experience in client development and case management including interviewing, research, and direct customer service. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in human resources, behavioral science, business administration, communication, education or marketing. Bilingual Spanish/English language skills desired but not required. Other: MUST BE A VETERAN OF MILITARY SERVICE (per 38 U.S.C. 4103A and 4104 federal requirements). Preference will be given in this order: 1) Qualified service-connected disabled Veteran; 2) Qualified eligible veteran.
