Job Description: Business Development Manager (BDM) - Direct & Partnerships Egypt Full time Hybrid We make health happen: The Business Development Manager - Direct & Partnerships is responsible for driving new business growth through direct-to-consumer (B2C) channels, with a focus on both self-generated leads and partnership-driven opportunities. This role plays a key role in expanding the Individual segment by building lead pipelines from direct customers, affiliations, digital sources, and referral partners and requires a significant face to face/virtual business engagement with IPMI potential clients ,facilitating solid and consistent sales growth with a proven ability to establish strong relationships . The role is pivotal in developing new commercial opportunity in the Egyptian market, gathering robust market data to assist in future planning cycle, as well as gathering competitor and market insights. How you'll help us make health happen: Contribute to the identification of & delivery of initiatives to optimise portfolio performance of segment, delivering or exceeding growth requirements. Proactively manage the full sales cycle - from prospecting and consultation to closing . Pro-actively seek out new business opportunities through effective lead generation, prospecting and pipeline management to ensure ongoing growth of segment , to deliver profitable business and target achievement Develop and manage partnerships and affiliations that can generate individual customer leads Deliver exceptional customer experience through needs-based advice and product suitability. Maintain strong product knowledge across all Bupa consumer products. Track and report sales performance, pipeline status, and conversion rates . Deliver strong relationship and client management to key connections across segment (Distributor & Client). Ensure that all sales activities are completed in a compliant way, ensuring that the relevant governing bodies' protocols are fulfilled . Support co-marketing activities with selected partners to promote Bupa's offerings and enhance brand visibility. Work closely with Marketing to activate campaigns that drive inbound leads from partnerships and digital collaborations. Regularly assess the quality and conversion potential of partner-generated leads ,and recommend improvements. Act as the main point of contact for assigned partners, ensuring timely follow-up, reporting, and relationship maintenance. Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: 3+ years of proven experience in B2C Sales in the global health insurance market, or relevant transferable skills and knowledge from other financial services industries such as Insurance, Retail, Commercial or Investment Banking and Wealth Management. FRA (Financial Regulatory Authority) licence is preferred Demonstrated track record in achieving new business targets, and continually demonstrating application in this key area. Good understanding of the business development process and the interdependencies of pricing, risk management, marketing, distribution, product development, systems, legal and operational aspects of running a medical insurance business Experience of developing robust and successful relationships is key Fluent in English (spoken and written). Proficiency in CRM tools . Skill and ability to adopt a "consultative" approach to effect problem solving and to explore options which ensure potential within a client account is maximised for the benefit of Bupa Global Excellent interpersonal, communication , negotiation, and influencing skills are required with emphasis on achieving results and successful outcomes.
