Lead front-line business development activities , including prospecting, relationship building, and opportunity identification
Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts , managing day-to-day communication and long-term customer relationships
Develop deep understanding of Japanese customer culture, decision-making processes, and sales practices
Identify customer needs, applications, and potential projects, and collaborate with Product Sales Marketing (PSM) to define technical and commercial strategies
Drive early-stage project development , including opportunity qualification, requirement gathering, and internal alignment
Coordinate with internal teams (PSM, sales, HQ, and product teams) to ensure smooth project handover and execution
Support account planning , including business growth strategies, target applications, and revenue forecasting
Manage customer expectations and maintain high customer satisfaction throughout the engagement lifecycle
Monitor market trends, customer activities, and competitor movements within the Japanese industrial computing market
Requirements
Native-level Japanese proficiency with strong ability to communicate and build trust with Japanese customers
Good command of English for internal communication with global teams
Strong understanding of Japanese B2B sales culture and account management practices
Experience in business development, account management, or sales within industrial, embedded, or technology-related industries
Ability to work closely with technical and product-focused roles (e.g., Product Sales Marketing, FAE, Product Managers)
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Self-driven, patient, and capable of managing long-term customer development cycles common in the Japanese market
Experience in industrial computing, embedded systems, industrial PCs, or related hardware solutions
Experience managing OEM / ODM customers in Japan
Experience working in a global or multinational company environment
