Responsibilities
- Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Process, Policies, & Procedures - Lead cross‑functional alignment on order‑management and distribution strategy.
- Develop Scout's order-to-production and distribution process, aligning customer demand with production capacity, part availability, and outbound logistics.
- Collaborate with Integrated Business Planning, Production Steering, and Finished Vehicle Logistics to ensure seamless order flow from customer submission to vehicle load lane.
- Systematize processes, policies, procedures into operator tools that deliver consistency and speed at scale.
- Platform & Tool Product Ownership - Serve as the domain authority for OMD processes and tools.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives driving process optimization, automation, and ultimately systematization across order and distribution functions.
- Partner with Digital Products to shape the roadmap for operator tools, exception workflows, and optimization engines.
- Define KPIs for operator‑tool performance, automation rates, accuracy, and cycle‑time improvement.
- Drive usability and workflow design in partnership with UX designers.
- Managing and optimizing order and distribution systems, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and system enhancements.
- Location & Travel Expectations :
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC. , with up to 50% of travel required.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
- Valid driver's license required.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in order management, distribution, supply chain, or sales operations within automotive OEM or manufacturing.
- Experience with a US-based automotive start-up a plus.
- 3+ years of technology consulting, or digital product development, preferably in the automotive industry
- Proven success in managing complex order fulfillment and distribution processes and cross-functional coordination.
- Strong systems thinking and hands-on experience with order and distribution management platforms.
- Comfortable working with data models, SQL basics, and KPI dashboards.
