You will have the opportunity to be part of a very special team for Live Nation's newest Canadian venue, HISTORY Ottawa. A state-of-the-art venue with a capacity of up to 2000 host ing over 180 concerts and private events annually. Responsibilities
Handle duties including; stocking ice bins, liquor, beer, and wine, including lifting/moving up to 25lbs.
Perform various opening and closing b arback duties. Ensuring the bar is consistently up to appropriate standards for flawless execution
Ensure stock is rotated and stored correctly, reporting any damage and waste.
Maintains back of house areas including stockrooms, making sure they are kept clean and tidy at all times.
Energetic and willingness to be active in the workplace, completing tasks that are both physical and repetitive
Recognize when guests are becoming too intoxicated and bring them to the attention of a bartender/server, manager and /or security
Create an atmosphere where coworkers are connected and committed through seamless communication and the willingness to help others win
Requirements
Must be Smart Serve Certified and at least 19 years of age
1-2 years of experience as a barback or similar role in a high-volume environment with high standards
Knowledge of various spirits, beers, wines and champagnes
Takes great initiative and is able to anticipate the needs of bartenders
Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time
Have an incredible ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high volume environment while maintaining a first-in-class hospitality and food and beverage experience
Strong communication skills , written and verbal in
Liaises with F&B management team on par levels and various other food and beverage needs
A passion for live events and desire to ensure every customer experience is exceptional!
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
