Job Description: Pathologist - Head and Neck Department of Pathology Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) BIDMC - Main Campus The Department of Pathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is recruiting a per-diem/part-t ime academic surgical pathologist with subsp ecialty e xpertise in head and neck pathology . The position is open rank and both recent fellowship graduates and mid-career physicians are strongly encouraged to apply. As a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, BIDMC and the Department of Pathology, provide a clinically advanced and supportive academic environment for residents, fellows, and faculty. We're also proud and excited to be an integral part of the landmark collaboration among Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) to establish New England's only freestanding adult inpatient cancer hospital. The collaboration will provide unparalleled opportunities for pathology and other physician specialties to be part of an internationally recognized cancer team. We seek an energetic, team-oriented head & neck pathologist who will contribute to the Department's diagnostic excellence, academic mission, and continued innovation. Additional expertise in cytopathology and/or another surgical pathology subspecialty is a significant plus. The ideal candidate will have: Strong diagnostic skills in head & neck oncologic surgical pathology A collaborative spirit and interest in working closely with molecular pathologists and oncologists to support precision oncology and clinical trials An interest in teaching and mentoring fellows, residents, and medical students An academic trajectory of scholarly interests in head & neck pathology The successful candidate will join a collegial team of faculty, fellows, and residents committed to world-class diagnostics, education, and discovery. Applicants must be board certified in Pathology (AP or AP/CP) and hold a valid Massachusetts medical license or the ability to obtain one. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations.
