Chemours is seeking a Training Specialist to join our growing Mining team! This position will report directly to the Health, Safety & Training Manager and work primarily at one of our Florida or Georgia locations. Organizes and conducts employee training programs across Florida and Georgia. Conducts ongoing evaluations to ensure effectiveness of programs and recommends modifications as necessary. May develop new training programs. Monitors training results through employee progress and maintains records of training attendance to evaluate program effectiveness. May make determination regarding individual's ability to perform tasks and/or position responsibilities. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Participate in site Process Safety Management (PSM) team as the Training Element lead which includes performing 1st party audits, participating in audits where review of training records and policies are needed, and maintaining training records for the site including working with area trainers to ensure operations records are in compliance with regulatory requirements, site and corporate policies. The Candidate will need to work with various regulatory audits to provide training records as needed. Ownership for the Job Cycle Check process and drive improvements such that area resources, are in compliance with corporate standards, company and site requirements. This includes driving improvements for the site JCCs to ensure that employees are receiving optimal refresher training. Site representative on corporate Training Development Network (TDN) team and communicate necessary information to site employees as needed. Participate as one of the presenters of the TDN network to develop agendas for meetings, drive improvements in Chemours computer based training and evaluate replacement systems for the computer based training. Manage monthly safety meeting program for the site including maintaining the Site Wide Communication tool and ensuring compliance with Safety How on monthly safety meetings. Coordinate, develop with Subject Matter Experts (SME), and deliver safety training to help drive enhanced operational discipline to drive compliance with Safety How. May make determination regarding individual's ability to perform tasks and/or position responsibilities safely and effectively. Proctor and manage progression testing for the site. Manage The Vector Learning Manager (VLM) - work with SME and other training resources to ensure all VLMs are reviewed and ready prior to the start of each quarter. Work with corporate TDN team for input on future computer based training programs. Coordinate and conduct training based on Mine Safety Health Association (MSHA) standard part 48 Knowledge of Occupational Health best practices and corporate standards. Conduct Incident Investigations (Root Cause Failure Analysis) training is preferred The following is required for this role: High School diploma or GED Minimum 5 years of experience in a mining, heavy manufacturing or construction related safety environment required OR equivalent military experience. Demonstrated skills to complete work independently and through influence. Train the Trainer or equivalent training course on delivering effective training. Knowledgeable in safety practices and driving improvements to site safety policies to help drive Operational Discipline and regulatory compliance. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications database entry. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently, including ability to manage numerous follow-up actions and deadlines. Ability to interact effectively and drive improvements across all levels of the site organization. Must have 3 years mining experience to be eligible for MSHA train the trainer (Blue Card Holder) General Skills required include
