Position Overview United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Pharmacy Application Analyst responsible for the analysis, design, build, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of pharmacy-related clinical systems. This role acts as the liaison between Pharmacy, IT, and vendors to ensure systems align with clinical workflows and regulatory requirements. The analyst evaluates and recommends system enhancements, performs production maintenance and advanced troubleshooting, and leads testing, conversions, and documentation efforts across the system lifecycle, including planning, configuration, validation, and go-live support. In support of Pharmacy IT, the analyst assists with implementing, maintaining, and supporting multi-user systems, including formulary management, order set and table build, and system integration with automation and clinical applications. The role represents IT and Pharmacy in Pharmacy & Therapeutics discussions related to medication formularies and clinical protocols, ensuring regulatory compliance. Additionally, the analyst collaborates with stakeholders to assess needs, develop solutions, support training initiatives, mentor staff, provide proactive user support, and ensure timely delivery of project work. Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Epic Ancillary Applications, UHS Information Technology Primary Work Shift: Day Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: $59.58 - $89.38 per hour, depending on experience ----- Job Responsibilities Applicants must have active Epic Willow Ambulatory and Epic Specialty Pharmacy certifications preferred. To support new and current project development, including system analysis, planning and preparation acting as the primary resource dedicated to designing, building, testing, and implementation in collaboration with appropriate departments. Use independent analysis and research issues to produce solution options including pros, cons, risks, benefits, and unintended consequences. Detects and anticipates problems early, identify trends, acts as second level of support while mentoring and assisting in training of support staff. Develop, support and maintain documentation and procedures as needed. Acts as a resource to coworkers regarding build and workflow in application areas. Collaborate with other IT analysts and vendors to identify system optimization and enhancements in order to design and implement effective solutions. Attend meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, change, communications, and updates. Develop and maintain models and documentation of operations, business and system requirements and configure system accordingly. Contribute to preparation of testing scripts and materials and perform unit, system, and integrated testing tasks. Provide support and proactive service, by phone and through regular onsite visits, to assess user needs including analysis of opportunities to take advantage of existing workflows and tools. Work with training team to develop application specific training curriculums and materials. Work closely with end users to identify business needs and the cost and benefits of implementing a solution. Log, track, analyze, resolve issues, and coordinate system changes. Complete project tasks within the defined project deadlines. Position Qualifications Minimum Required: Master of Science or Pharm. D in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university. Licensed Pharmacist in the State of New York.
