The Electronics Technician (ET) Supervisor will be responsible for working with the Program Manager and CNI Talent Acquistions in maintaining the staffing requirements to fulfill the Electronic Technician positions in the NPP. The ET Supervisor will be responsible for the administrative functions for the ET team to include timesheets, appraisals, training, travel documents and will work closely with the Program Manager and Admin team on additional requirements as needed. This position deploys to McMurdo Station, Antarctica to conduct work locally. The United States Antarctica Program requires all personnel deploying to Antarctica to pass a physical qualification. Must be able to obtain a T1 Clearance through the government customer. Must pass internal background checks. Must have a valid driver's license. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Coaches and trains staff in established quality processes, procedures and expected project deliverables. Leads, supervises and mentors assigned staff. Provides training and direction for ensuring the achievement of maximum performance with high standards and exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Oversees staff and exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Required travel to Antarctica up to 6 months a year. Works closely with the government project manager and supports the needs of the program at the sponsor level or with program stakeholders. Coordinates workshops and meetings, develops agenda items, participates in planning sessions, generates meeting minutes, and tracks action items as required. Recommends policies, doctrine, tactics, and procedures. Coordinates and interfaces with various Department of Defense (DoD), non-DoD, and international participants located in and out of the continental United States (CONUS). Provides subject material to develop technical documentation, provides consultation to management personnel, or prepares and conducts training on matters relating to Aviation Command and Control projects, services or projects and research unique to the polar environments. Responsible for ensuring that all ET contract deliverables are tracked and submitted on time throughout the life of contract. The following are typical of such documents: Meeting Agendas and Minutes. Plans of Action and Milestones. Monthly Status Reports in government approved contractor format (C.F .) (by the 5th day following end of each month). Trip Reports (15 days upon completion of travel). Provide an End of Season and a Lesson's-Learned report after each operating Season. Position Binders. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
