Requirements

• Associate's degree from an accredited college or university AND one year of experience providing health education.
• (Relevant experience may be substituted for education and education from an accredited college or university may be substituted by relevant experience.)
• OR:
• One year of experience serving as a Community Health Worker II or equivalent classification as determined by the department head at the time of recruitment .
• Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application. Do not substitute a resume for your application or write "see resume" on your application.

• Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution in nutrition. (community nutrition, public health nutrition, nutrition education, human nutrition, or nutrition science)
• Minimum one (1) year experience in nutrition education counseling in a maternal/child or clinical setting, including the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Pay Range is the entire compensation range for the position. THIS IS A GRANT-FUNDED POSITION ENDING SEPTEMBER 2028. The Pima County Health Department, Women Infants and Children program (WIC), is seeking a motivated and team-orientated to join our team. This position provides client centered nutrition & breastfeeding services to program participants. Additional duties include conducting WIC certifications, medium risk counseling and obtaining anthropometric and hemoglobin levels for WIC participants. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal communication and listening skills.
