ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Report on the timed workouts of thoroughbred racehorses. Ensure accuracy in reporting workout times and conditions. Record horse name (with correct spelling) Record the trainer's name Record the distance of the workout Record the official time of the workout provided by an official clocker Record the track surface Punctual attendance required Ability to work required overtime. Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be knowledgeable of the Rules of Racing Proficiency in using software for data entry and reporting. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation. Excellent customer service/communication skills Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job does not have supervisory responsibilities. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
