Additional Information
What you will do. A glimpse into your role:
As a QA Automation Engineer , you will play a key role in strengthening our QA capabilities across in‑house DBO applications. You will design, build, and maintain automated tests for backend services, APIs, and UI components, contributing directly to stable, secure, and maintainable software releases.
Working closely with Developers, Product Managers, UX, and DevOps, you will help improve testability, support continuous improvement, and grow our automation maturity as you move toward senior‑level ownership.
Every action has an impact. You will make a difference here if you:
Analyse incoming requirements for completeness, consistency, and testability , challenging assumptions with a strong "what if?" mindset.
Design, implement, execute, and maintain manual and automated test suites across API and UI layers using our enterprise automation framework.
Apply clean test design principles to ensure test stability, readability, scalability, and long‑term maintainability.
Contribute to risk‑based test planning and actively participate in exploratory testing sessions to uncover issues beyond scripted flows.
Support secure‑by‑design validation , identifying potential vulnerabilities early in the development lifecycle.
Use logs, dashboards, reports, and metrics to evaluate system behavior and detect issues, patterns, or anomalies.
Document, track, validate, and re‑test defects in JIRA , collaborating closely with Developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
Collaborate continuously with Product Managers, Developers, QA Engineers, UX, and DevOps to align on quality strategy and release readiness.
Work with relational data structures , supporting test‑data preparation and validation aligned with MSSQL schemas.
Leverage the automation framework's built‑in capabilities for test execution, reporting, and scalable runs .
Leverage AI‑assisted tooling (e.g. GitHub Copilot or built‑in AI features) to generate test stubs, accelerate coverage, assist script maintenance, and analyse logs.
Contribute to process improvements , automation‑framework enhancements, and QA documentation.
Optionally contribute through inner‑sourcing to shared test‑automation framework adapters and utilities if you enjoy working "under the hood".
Focus on measurable quality outcomes, including coverage effectiveness, early defect detection, and automation ROI .
