Description of Work The primary purpose of the Applications Test Lead is to drive and support the Testing, Implementation, Operations and Quality Assurance of NC Medicaid Applications. - Duties include hands on testing, lead and oversee a team responsible for evaluating business requirements for testability, completeness, and quality using various Business and Technical Design Specification Documents. - Responsibilities include transforming requirements into comprehensive test conditions, leading to the development and execution of test scripts, and ensuring software functionality, stability and performance are met. - Build an automation testing strategy and framework design. Also maintain and continuously improve the automation framework and quality assurance environment by establishing testing standards, driving process improvements, and advancing testing methodologies to support enterprise-wide quality objectives. - Provide subject matter expertise and mentoring to Test Team to enforce high quality outcomes, lead defect triage, quality assessments and build test summary reports for management. - Specific and Ad Hoc duties will be assigned as required to meet evolving business and operational needs. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred: Hands-on experience with Application testing and knowledge of Quality Assurance practices. Strong Automation Testing knowledge and skills with any Test Automation tools, such as selenium, TOSCA, JMeter. Strong knowledge of Test Management and Project management tools, such as JIRA, ServiceNow to align with Agile methodology and to build reports and dashboards. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally in verbal and written forms with management and co-workers and maintain effective working relationships. Highly prefer experience in Medicaid applications and or other commercial health plans. Management Preferences: Proven experience with software testing, test management tools, and automation tools.
