We're currently looking for Lift Engineer Improver to join our team in East Anglia
What's an Improver?
Someone with the right attitude, some hands-on or technical foundation, and the drive to learn - but who isn't fully qualified yet .
Think of it as the stage between: A pprentice (learning basics) → Improver (building practical competence) → Qualified Engineer
As a Lift Service Improver, you'll support experienced engineers in delivering planned maintenance, minor repairs, and safety inspections across a variety of lift systems. Spending your time out on site, you'll shadow service routes, assist with fault finding, and gradually take on hands-on maintenance tasks, learning how to work with different lift types, control systems, and components. You'll help prepare tools and equipment, complete basic service documentation, and play a key role in keeping systems running safely and efficiently.
This is a development-focused role where you'll build strong technical skills, gain a solid understanding of industry safety standards, and work towards your NVQ3 in Lift Engineering, with a clear pathway to becoming a fully qualified, independent engineer.
